WHAT IS CLEAR?

A new, minimally invasive procedure for vision correction

What does CLEAR stand for?
CLEAR is a flapless "keyhole" version of laser vision correction.  It is done with the Swiss Ziemer Z8 laser, which use low laser energy and advanced scan patterns for a gentle treatment and a good patient experience.

Is CLEAR for you?

CLEAR is designed to correct nearsightedness with or without astigmatism. Each person has a unique eye anatomy and only a careful evaluation by your eye care specialist can determine if you are a good candidate for CLEAR.
Am I qualified for CLEAR?
CLEAR is designed to correct nearsightedness with or without astigmatism. Each person has a unique eye anatomy and only a careful evaluation by your eye care specialist can determine if you are a good candidate for CLEAR.

How long does it take?
The procedure takes about 15 minutes, the laser correction itself only 35 to 40 seconds. How soon can I get back to normal activities? Every healing process is individual. In most cases, visual acuity is very good one or two days after the operation,  and stabilizes within one week. Normally, you will be able to drive, work and participate in sports within a few days.

Is it a safe procedure?
CLEAR is attested by the EU declaration of conformity(CE mark) and therefore meets EU safety, health and environmental protection requirements. It is HSA approved in Singapore. CLEAR has the same low risks as other refractive surgeries. Your eyecare specialist will discuss these with you.
